A second course from one of the subject groups, such the as Sciences, may be substituted for the Arts course. The Math Studies course is quite accessible and intended for the Humanities student. The Math SL course is an introduction to calculus type course. Math HL is an in-depth mathematics course with a specific focus on calculus and differential equations.
